Our new series is called ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ looking at some of the parables Jesus told that tell radical good news - this week: ‘The Good Samaritan.’

The final pleas and encouragements to the church in Corinth.
The Corinthians seem ungrateful, disobedient and quarrelsome.
Things we are painfully vulnerable to too.
Here is Paul's final plea to the church:
1. Test the external (12:11-21)
Spoilt children - who is at fault? (12:11-13)
True Gospel Ministry spends like parents (12:14-18).
True Gospel Ministry takes responsibility like parents (12:19-21)
2. Test the internal (13:1-10)
A court summons (13:1-4)
Seeking restoration (13:5-10)
3. Final Encouragements (13:11-14)
Paul’s last argument against the false teaching super apostles is to adopt their own style. Paul will fight fire with fire… He will play them at their own game. He will become a fool to save the church from even greater fools. If your tendency is to love displays of human power and human credentials, here you will get your heart set straight as we see that God’s power is at work in weakness.
What do you put up with? What do you tolerate? Can you hear Paul out as his ministry looks so embaressing, his behaviour seems so offensive and all he ever talks about is false teachers!!!
Oli returns to a series in 2 Corinthians: Real Ministry!
Multiple Choice message 3
Multiple choice… How to make decision when you are free to choose … part 2!
This week, Steve begins a mini-series in 1 Corinthians 8-10: 'Multiple Choice: Making decisions when we are free to choose!' In a world of many decisions, what principles can govern how we make them?
Introduction - Making Decisions when we're free to choose
The Principle - Gospel love is greater than knowledge (vv1-6)
The Principle brought to bear - love for others is greater than rights (vv7-13)
The last in our series in the Psalms of Ascents. Finally the pilgrims reach their end destination. From exile to Zion…. the very temple courts of God himself. Their journey has mirrored ours from this world to heaven. What do we find at journeys end? Come and consider this Psalm with us.
We near the end of the Psalms of Ascents. Oli takes us through Psalm 133 to notice what we need to know in order to see and savour our unity in the church.
A return to our series in the Psalms of Ascent… ‘A Long Obedience in the Same Direction’
The final part in our bonus part of the five city tour.
The Five City Tour was completed at Corinth. The first visits to Europe done. Now Paul heads home (to Antioch) via Ephesus. On the way he has a haircut, we learn about Apollos and some other stuff happening and then there is a strange meeting with some other disciples. Is the good news really for this strange sect?
A passage big on encouragement - Can the gospel cut it? Will the gospel cut it? How do we know anything much will happen as we pursue God’s mission? See what happens as the Apostle Paul gets to Corinth (a place chosen for it’s influence? No… just the next place on the map with lots of people) in Acts 18:1-17.
